Bonnie Blackburn has been involved with the Nina Haggerty since 2012. A mother of two, Bonnie is “the mom who can make anything”, according to her children. Her children are a big inspiration for her work.
Bonnie enjoys painting, drawing and working with clay and glass. She also writes poetry. She refers to her written work as her “ink voice”. Bonnie’s work is her way of expressing what she’s feeling and dealing with personally.
“I speak five languages. I speak art, I speak poetry, I speak English, I speak music and I speak emotional.”
Bonnie is very excited about an animation project she recently started. She hopes to be in the newspaper again, and to have a solo show in the Stollery Gallery one day.
